On Saturday, June 8 the annual Helping Hands Day was held at Holy Annunciation Monastery in Sugarloaf. We had fantastic weather and a nice turnout of volunteers to help with both indoor and outdoor activities. There was something to do for all ages and skill levels. The outdoor volunteers did gardening, clearing of rocks & brush, lawnmowing and weed eating. Volunteers that stayed indoors helped create boxes and prepped bakery supplies. GCU Board Member George Kofel and GCU Corporate Community Events Coordinator Melissa Jaggars presented a $500.00 check to Mother Maria for the Holy Annunciation Monastery.
