The GCU Board of Directors has initiated a Special $10,000.00 Matching Funds event for the wildfires devastating the West and from damage caused by Hurricane Helene in the East.

The holidays are quickly approaching and there are members in the community who need our help.
Join us for a short volunteer event to help pack food supplies at the Harry & Jeanette Weinberg Northeast Regional Food Bank. There will be a free pizza social for volunteers afterwards.
When: Monday, October 28, 2024 5 PM- 7 PM
Where: 185 Research Drive, Pittston, PA 18640
What: We will be packing boxes of food to help the community. There will be tasks for all ages and skill levels. We appreciate any amount of time you can join us for.

About the food bank:
Harry & Jeanette Weinberg Northeast Regional Food Bank services charitable organizations by providing food to alleviate hunger and promote proper nutrition, particularly among children and the elderly.
The Food Bank provides food assistance to Faith-based and 501(c)3 non-profit community organizations to distribute to needy families. By collecting donations of wholesome but unmarketable food from the food industry and distributing it to these organizations, the Food Bank works to reduce hunger and promote proper nutrition in addition to preventing food waste. The Food Bank serves four counties in Northeast Pennsylvania: Lackawanna, Luzerne, Susquehanna, and Wyoming.
