GCU returns to Rustic Kitchen inside Mohegan Sun for an early Mother's Day celebration!

Whether you are taking that special mom in your life out for an early celebration, treating a loved one for a special day, or just taking yourself out for some fun and delicious food, this is the perfect event to enjoy!

Time: 1:30 PM- 2PM Arrival; Guests may purchase other drinks at the bar and bring inside the studio. 
Dinner show to begin promptly at 2 PM

• Bacon, Gorgonzola, & Caramelized Onion Stuffed Mushrooms
• Beef Wellington with Roasted Root Vegetables & Fingerling Potatoes
• Strawberry Champagne Cake
• Chef selected wine (ice water will also be provided) Restaurant servers will be available to take individual drink orders during the show if you would like to open a personal tab.

GCU single members (price for one GCU member ticket): $65 
GCU member group of 2 discounted rate: $120 
Non-Member $80

• **Note: The studio has fantastic seats in both the 1st, 2nd and 3rd rows.
  The first tickets to be purchased will be given the opportunity to be seated around the front row counter; subject to availability; Seats will be assigned to keep groups together
  As of 3/21/2024 We have 3 front counter seats left. The next member to purchase 3 tickets will be asked if they would like to be seated at the front counter. 
• Seating inside the studio consists of high-top chairs and counter-tops.
  Limited low-top seating is available, please contact us ahead of time to request accomodations.

About Chef Kim McLendon

Kim is a wife, mother, Chef, teacher, Advocate for Blessings in a Backpack, and Mrs. Pennsylvania International 2012. 

Born and raised in rural Pennsylvania, she married her high school sweetheart, Gary, and they have two children, Madison and Gary, and a yellow lab, Annabelle. Kim holds a degree in Education and Culinary Arts and says, "I simply love food and I've been cooking since I was a little girl. The best things in life are cooking for my family and friends."

As a young girl, she learned a lot about cooking from her grandparents, parents and Aunt. When most girls were playing with dolls growing up, Kim made homemade pasta, drove cars, hunted with her Dad, and learned how to prepare the game as well! 

As a Mrs. Pennsylvania International, she wants to encourage others to make a difference by feeding children and families that are in need. Her motto in life is, "The Power is within yourself!" and her inspirational beliefs are that "you can make a small difference in a big world." She loves to teach children and students how to be successful.
