Lode 302 member Ronald Milam, son of Julie Martin and grandson of Bonnie & Tom Ciresi, graduated magna cum laude from the University of Mount Union on May 14. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice and a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology.

Ronnie is pursuing a career as a fireman. He has been on the active roster at the Lexington Volunteer Fire Department for the last two years and received his volunteer certification this past September. While earning his degrees at Mount Union, he has been attending EMT classes at the Mahoning County Career Technical School in Canfield, OH. He is currently doing ambulance ride time to gain field experience and patient contacts. He will be taking a national registry test in June to receive EMT certification. In June he will also begin attending the professional fire academy at Uniontown Fire Department for 7 weeks. Before fulfilling all requirements to become a fireman, he will take a year of paramedic classes. Although he still has another year plus of schooling, his future looks bright.
