Baby Book Bags Program
The Lenten Project at St. Gregory Byzantine Catholic Church was to assist the Literacy Council of Southwestern PA. Parishioners donated items for their “Baby Book Bags Program,” which provides new mothers with tote bags that are filled with children’s story books, activity books, crayons, small stuffed toys and information about why reading to babies is important. The collection was coordinated by Andrea Cencich and presented to executives of the Literacy Council, along with a check from the GCU for Community Matching Funds.
