Flea Market at St. Gregory Church
GCU Lodge 52 and St. Gregory members had another successful flea market. As always, the room was full of beautiful clean and functional items. Customers streamed through all day looking for just the right items. There were toys, Christmas items, dishes, glass ware, paintings, electric items, sporting equipment, bed spreads, small furniture and much more. The weather was good which made it easy to have larger items outdoors. At the end of the day we had a BIG BAG SALE which was a great success. Many people were able to buy books, toys and Christmas item. We send a “Big Thank You” to our organizers and to the large number of the staff that came to help.

Golf Day
On Sunday, August 12, the men and women of Lodge 52 and St. Gregory Church enjoyed a beautiful day of golf, at Scenic Valley Golf Club. Tee time was at 8:30 AM with a cook out following at 2 PM. The menu consisted of salads, sandwiches, soft drinks, beer and dessert. The big event was the awarding of prizes by George Tichi. Awards were a sleeve of golf balls given to 1) low score 2) Pink Lady Score 3) closest to the pin par 3 holes. The Hast Family Team won the scramble. Eugene Berestecky was the winner of the traveling Gary Player picture. This picture is the award given to the most enthusiastic player. The winner keeps the picture for a year.
A special thank you to Fr. Valerian for helping deliver cold water and pop to the folks on the course. A special BIG thank you to Tom Soroka for all his work in organizing the entire outing which was a big success.
