Valentine’s Day Social
Valentine’s Day provides a great opportunity to share the unconditional love of God for His church and people. Lodge 93 members gathered with parishioners after Liturgy to enjoy a Valentine social.
Lenten Soup Gatherings
Lent provides more opportunities than normal for members and guests to gather for Lenten soup, as well as, the chance to worship and pray together. Tested by time and appetite, various soups are provided. The soup get together helps remind us of the early church traditions of sharing food and living lives together. Scheduled soup suppers were March 4, March 18 and April 1. Unfortunately, the COVID-19 preventative measures forced the cancellation of the April 1 event.
Good Samaritan Food Pantry
The Good Samaritan Food Pantry was assisted by members to help feed and teach best practices on February 27. The GCU recognizes the strong link between hunger and health and is committed to making a positive impact. Keelan McDonald, SNAP Outreach Coordinator of Indiana, was on hand to explain the SNAP program. The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program provides nutrition benefits to supplement the food budget of needy families.
