Basket Raffle
Lodge 93 and St. John BC Church have a tradition of outstanding basket raffles. The first raffle of 2021 offered the community another opportunity to support the church and its projects. The social hall was abuzz Saturday and Sunday April 17 and 18 as event goers, complete with face masks and social distancing to comply with CDC guidelines, perused the wares at the spring event. A surprise feature was the availability of homemade pies that were boxed, sealed and ready to purchase. All basket items were sanitized and wrapped. Winners did not need to be present for the drawing. Curbside pickup was arranged for winners to collect their baskets. A big thank you is extended to the workers who volunteered to deliver baskets. This event gives everyone in the community a boost to start the spring season and a fun way to welcome the warm weather. Thank you to all the volunteers who contributed wonderful gift items to help generate financial success. The parish and lodge are forever grateful to the GCU Home Office for continuing the Parish Matching Funds program.
