Lodge 644 October News
This past summer Lodge 644 members were able to do some activities despite COVID-19 limitations. In Northeast Ohio the weather has been spectacular, blue skies, pleasant temperatures and cool breezes. Two outdoor activities, practicing social distancing and wearing masks were held. In early September, Lodge members had a picnic on a meadow behind St. Michael cemetery in Mogadore OH. After the outdoor lunch, the members paid respect to relatives buried in the cemetery. St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church was closed in 2012. The cemetery is maintained by Saint Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church in Barberton, OH.
Golf Ball Drop
On September 19, Lodge 644 members of St. Emilian BC Church participated in a golf ball drop, which was held in lieu of the annual Father John Keblesh Memorial Golf Outing. Father John was a parish son of Saint Michael Church. The golf ball drop was a GCU Matching Fund activity. The winner of the golf ball drop was Gail Gnall.
At the time of the submission of this article, lodge members and parishioners at St. Nicholas were busy collecting prizes and selling tickets for a virtual reverse raffle to will be held on October 18.
