Lodge 625 March News
Wow, time does fly, as I write my report lodge members have participated in a number of activities that have benefited the lodge’s host parish, Holy Trinity BC Church. Members assisted the Ladies Guild in making gobs for the annual National Gob Day, January 25, 2020 at the Johnstown Galleria. A total of 1080 gobs were made and sold for $1.50 each. All were sold out in less than 45 minutes. The ladies were also awarded the Best Traditional Gob (non-profit). This is the 3rd time since the parish has participated that they have won the award. A plaque was presented to display in the parish hall.
During the month of February, lodge members helped the Men’s Club make pirohi as part of their Lenten fund raiser. A total of 200 dozen pirohi were made over a 3 day period.
Father Ronald Borsuk 90th Birthday
On March 10, Father Robert Oravetz and several members of the parish, visited Father Ronald Borsuk, former pastor of Holy Trinity and current resident at a local nursing home. They presented him with birthday gifts in celebration of his 90th birthday. Father Borsuk is a member of Lodge 625.
