Helping Hands Day
On Saturday, May 25, 2019, six members of Lodge 625 conducted the annual Helping Hands Day at Holy Trinity Byzantine Catholic Cemetery. Members re-mulched the entrance circle and put US Flags around the circle and at the entrance by the cemetery sign. Following the work, they had lunch at the local pizza shop. Lodge 625 thanks the GCU Home OPffice for the Fraternal Grant.
On Sunday, June 9, Lodge 625 hosted a social hour following Divine Liturgy with cake and coffee to celebrate the feast day of the parish.
On Sunday, June 16, the lodge hosted its annual Father’s Day social hour following Divine Liturgy and the parish was treated to a variety of muffins and coffee.
On June 23, the lodge held its 2nd quarter meeting and that afternoon family and friends were invited to attend the Annual Bowling Party at Richland Lanes. Attendees bowled 2 games of 9 pin no-tap and had a pizza party. Thanks again to the Home Office for the Fraternal Grant.
July has been very busy with preparations for the lodge’s annual attendance at the Music Festival in John-stown. Members of the lodge have been preparing pirohi, halushki, halupki and gobs to sale at this event for the lodge’s Parish Matching Funds.
Members of the lodge and their families are invited to attend the annual lodge/parish picnic that will be held August 18, following the 11 AM Divine Liturgy at Holy Trinity Byzantine Catholic Church in Conemaugh. At-tendees are asked to bring a covered dish to share. The lodge will be providing the main meat, drinks, games for the children and BINGO for the “older kids!”
