Lodge 401 February News
St. Nicholas Day Dinner
With the cooperation of Lodge 401, the Home Office and the Ladies Guild at St. Nicholas Church, the annual St. Nicholas Day dinner was held December 2, 2018. It was a well attended and successful event, our largest crowd to date. The festivities began following the 11 am Sunday Liturgy. The catered dinner was subsidized by the Ladies Guild. A note of special thanks to those who decorated the hall, purchased the gifts, to the Home Office, members of the Ladies Guild and to St. Nicholas for distributing gifts to the children.
Christmas Visit to St. Stephens Living Center
Lodge members made their annual Christmas visit to the residents of St. Stephens Living Center in Nanty-Glo. PA on December 16, 2018. With the assistance of the GCU Home Office we were able to purchased Christmas stockings and filled them with various treats for the residents. Lodge member Marina Sell led us in singing Christmas carols that were chosen by the residents. This was the fifth year Lodge 401 sponsored this heart warming event. Thank you to those who participated and to the Home Office for their financial assistance.
