Bowling for Charity Event
Each year the ECF Religious Education students from St. Michael in Hermitage, PA gather to Bowl for Charity. In 2017 the bowlers raised $400.00 and a donation was given to the Community Food Warehouse of Mercer County. This year, 13 student bowlers, along with several adults, gathered at Thornton Hall Bowling Lanes in Sharon, PA and raised $280.00. The lodge supported the event by covering the cost of lane and shoe rentals, as well as refreshments. This year's proceeds will be donated to Joshua's Haven City Mission in Sharon, PA.
Lodge 258 sponsored a Founders’ Day Celebration after both Divine Liturgies at St. Michael on the weekend of Saturday, February 10 and Sunday February 11. In addition to cake and coffee, Lodge 258 also provided bagels, cream cheese and muffins for the parishioners who attended the Sunday morning Liturgy. It was very enjoyable to see the people take time to sit and relax while enjoying fellowship with each other.
Flag Day was celebrated on Thursday, June 14 at St. Michael Church and was sponsored by the lodge. New flags were raised and a pizza social followed. Thanks to Michael & Alyssa Vasil who took pictures at the event along with Sophie Misinay and her daughter who prepared the delicious patriotic cupcakes.
