Lodge 254 June News
Easter Church Activities
The Easter season at St. Mary BC Church in Hillsborough was active with Liturgies, worship, preparation and teaching of the parish children about this glorious holy day—the most deeply religious and joyous celebration of the Resurrection of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Each Sunday, the children learn about the Byzantine Catholic Religion in their ECF classes.
On Palm (Flowery) Sunday, March 28, the younger ECF children, including some GCU members of Lodge 254, stand with the many boxes of chocolates they sold from their Gertrude Hawk Chocolates fundraiser. The proceeds of this fundraiser benefit the ongoing and successful ECF program which is coordinated by GCU member Julie Klikus. Thank you to all for the generous support.

Following social distance, Father James Badeaux, pastor, blesses Easter food baskets after the Divine Liturgy on Easter Sunday. Assisting are Deacon Nick Sotack and Professor Elias Zareva, cantor emeritus and Lodge 254 president. Looking on with their baskets are young GCU members Nicholas, Michael and Victoria Como.
