Lodge 182 June News
Easter Egg Hunt
An Easter Egg Hunt was held for the parish children of St. Mary’s BC Church on Palm Sunday, March 28, 2021. The rain that attempted to ruin the day did not dampen the festivities or the excitement of the hunt! Each child was asked to find 6 eggs in 6 different colors and then turn those eggs in for their prizes. Each participant was also asked to bring a donation of a toy to fill an easter basket or a monetary donation to be used in the making of baskets for the children in residence at the Catherine McAuley House for homeless women and children. The day was a huge success. Special thanks to the GCU Home Office, members of Lodge 182 and St. Mary’s ECF teachers.
Donation to Catherine McAuley House
Lodge 182 made their annual donation to the Catherine McAuley House. This house serves as a homeless shelter for women and their children who find themselves in crisis and have become homeless. It is located in Plymouth, PA.
Easter baskets were made specifically for each child residing there and dropped off on Holy Saturday, just in time for the Easter Bunny to deliver them. Thank you to all the participants of St. Mary’s Easter Egg Hunt and to all who donated. The baskets were a great way to give back and to help make Easter a little better for these children.
