GCU Lodge 17 participated in the fall cleanup at Holy Annunciation Monastery, Sugarloaf, PA on Saturday, October 26, 2019. Three members assisted the Carmelite Sisters with preparing their grounds for winter. Volunteers cut down day lilies and peonies, removed begonias and impatiens, as well as mowed the lawn and weed wacked. The Sisters served the volunteers a homemade spaghetti and meatball luncheon, along with ice cream and a variety of their special cookies. Plan now to help at the spring event on June 6, 2020.
