The GCU Home Office will be closed today Friday, December 13 after 1 PM Eastern Time for the Employees' Christmas Party. Regular business hours will resume on Monday, December 16.

Fourth Win for the ‘Lucky 4’—Must Be More Than Luck!
The championship team for the three previous years running, the “Lucky 4” bowlers, recently captured their fourth consecutive District 11 Inter-Parish Mixed Bowling League crown.
The team consisted of only three members this year: Margaret St. Onge; Austin Bigger and Fr. Joseph Repko, pastor of St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church, and chaplain for GCU Lodge 860 and District 11.The Lucky 4 bowling team was named by former team member Peter Digon, a long-time parishioner of St. Nicholas Church and member of GCU Lodge 860, who was unable to bowl this year.
On Sunday, March 24th, 2019, the team was recognized during an awards banquet at Imperial Lanes in Sterling Heights, MI.
Other awardees include: Women: High Game-Christine Pelak, High Series-Christine Pelak, High Average-Christine Pelak & Most Improved Bowler-Judith McKee. Men: High Game-Paul Shubeck, High Series-Chris Mathewson, High Average-Ronald St. Onge & Most Improved Bowler-Dave Watson.
The League officers for next season were also chosen at the banquet. All incumbents were reseated: President Paul Shubeck, Vice President John P. Minarish, Secretary Gary Mozuras and Treasurer Judy Goetz.

Junior Bowling ‘Spares’ Nothing to ‘Strike’ Up Fun for Youth!
The annual Junior Bowling Tournament was held on Saturday, April 27 at Five Star Lanes in Sterling Heights. Youths aged 2-18 dotted the lanes, competing in age categories, with family members and friends cheering. Immediately following the games, bowlers and guests enjoyed a pizza luncheon at Five Star.
First place trophies were awarded to the highest scorers by age category and every other participant also received a small trophy. Gift cards to fast food restaurants were given away by random drawing as well.
Winners are as follows: Girls: age 2-3 Paulina Culyba, age 4-5 Mateo Soto, age 6-7 Ava Prodan, age 10-12 Sabrina Kosa & age 16-18 Margie Swanney. Boys: age 8-9 Nick Swanney, age 10-12 Alex Prodan and age 13-15 George Swanney.
