13th Egg EGGstravaganza, Sunday, March 18, from 12-5 PM at St. John Byzantine Catholic Church Social Hall, 201 E. Main St., Uniontown, PA. The event is co-sponsored by GCU Lodge 81, local egg artists, and the St. John’s Ethnic Craft Club. Egg artists display, demonstrate, and sell decorated eggs, Easter items (embroidered basket covers, lamb butter molds, decorated candles) and crafts are available for purchase. There are children’s Easter themed activities and explanations of traditional Easter foods for basket blessing. A Lenten lunch menu is available including; St. John’s “famous” pirohi, halushki, pagach, pirohi pizza and assorted soups. The bake sale will include: long rolls (nut, apricot, poppyseed, cottage cheese), paska bread, decorated medovniki, small nut rolls, cookies, homemade candy and many more delicious goodies.
