3rd Annual Spring St. Nicholas Celebration

Celebrating the “Spring St. Nicholas” Feast Day

GCU Spiritual Advisor Fr. Val Michlik invites you to the 3rd Annual “Spring St. Nicholas Day” at the GCU St. Nicholas of Myra Chapel. The day will begin with a Divine Liturgy at 3 pm on Sunday, May 3rd followed by dinner at Seven Oaks Country Club. This event commemorates the “Translation of the Relics of Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker from Myra to Bari,” which took place on May 9, 1087. On that date the relics of Saint Nicholas were transferred into the church of Saint Stephen, not far from the sea in Bari, Italy.

Since The GCU Chapel is dedicated to this wonderful saint, Fr. Val has established that the first Sunday in May be dedicated for GCU members and all the faithful, as an opportunity to gather at St. Nicholas Chapel in Beaver, PA to honor our patron saint.

At the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy attendees are welcome to visit the GCU Museum in the lower level of the Chapel, which will be opened until 5 pm for visitors.

A banquet at Seven Oaks Country Club will follow. Due to the Chapel’s size the event will be on a first come first served basis and requires registration by using the button below. The Liturgical celebration is limited to the first 80 members who register. The banquet is open to all at a cost of $40 for adults and $20 for 12 & under and must be registered and prepaid using the link below.

Deadline to register is Sunday, April 26, 2026!
