GCU Gives $2,100 to Beaver/Lawrence County Alzheimer's Foundation.

On Saturday, October 6th, 8 GCU employees along with their guests participated in the 2 mile walk to end Alzheimer’s in downtown Beaver, PA.

As a team, the GCU Crew came in 3rd place in team donations, giving the Alzheimer’s representatives a check in the amount of $2,100 that day. Alzheimer’s was the GCU’s second quarter cause, raising funds through ticket raffles, employee dress down and cookbook sales and then being matched by the GCU!!

The participants had a beautiful morning to walk and share the same goal: To End Alzheimer’s. Each walker chose a promise garden flower to take home. Each color represents your connection to the disease.

Blue represents someone with Alzheimer's or dementia.
Purple is for someone who has lost a loved one to the disease.
Yellow represents someone who is currently supporting or caring for someone with Alzheimer’s.
Orange is for everyone who supports the cause and vision of a world without Alzheimer’s.
